Respecting the building’s 115 years of use and timeless design features, 60 Atlantic has been updated for the 21st Century without sacrificing its history and character. The renovation, featuring contrasting brick infill, glass, corten steel and a bold super-graphic mural, was completed in the Fall of 2014 and immediately established 60 Atlantic as a design landmark in Liberty Village. The success of this development, already fully leased, has inspired an even more ambitious design for the next phase of this project, 80 Atlantic.

60 & 80 Atlantic awarded the 2022 Governor General’s Medal

We are incredibly honoured 60 & 80 Atlantic has been awarded the 2022 Royal Architectural Institute of Canada’s Governor General’s medal, the highest distinction given to an architectural project in Canada.

The jury “respected the deft use and juxtaposition of architectural intervention in this project. The integration of existing elements with the addition and adoption of the required modern spaces highlighted a successful architectural process within the constantly evolving built environments around our cities.”
