We build for the long term. We create environments that support people through design solutions that have a positive impact on our tenants and their lived experiences.
At the end of the day, we’re here to build resilient communities that are at the forefront of what it means to be sustainable by design.

Buildings should stand the test of time. That means designing architecture that is worth preserving and smart technology and materials that minimize impact on the environment — now and well into the future.

Leading the way with geothermal.
Geothermal makes a positive impact by reducing the need for natural gas and electricity to produce heating and cooling.

Investing in Geothermal Heating and Cooling
The geothermal system at 1151 Queen East and 1071 King West reduces greenhouse gas emissions by 50% over conventional systems, paying for itself in fuel savings in about seven years and significantly reducing utility bills for future residents.
The geo-exchange system will provide low carbon heating and cooling for our residents, reduce operating costs and future capital costs due to removal of conventional mechanical equipment.

1071 King West
Rising 17-stories adjacent to the downtown rail corridor, 1071 King Street West establishes a unique urban gateway to King Street West from Liberty Village by building on the site’s triangular geometry and the vernacular materiality of the area, while also integrating the future continuation of the West Toronto Railpath. The result is a striking red brick flatiron landmark that relies on a geothermal heating and cooling system, a model for thoughtful and sustainable rental residential design. The site transforms a residual site into a place of lasting value to both the neighbourhood and the city.
